Expert Touch-Up Paint Techniques for Cleaner Repairs
Touch-up paint works best when the damaged area is prepared carefully and the paint is applied in small, controlled amounts. The goal is to fill the defect without leaving an obvious raised edge or excess material.
Clean the Damage
Remove dirt, wax, grease and loose paint before applying anything. A clean surface gives the touch-up product a better chance of adhering correctly.
Use the Correct Colour
Find the vehicle paint code and order the matching colour. This is especially important with metallic and pearl finishes, where a small colour difference can be noticeable.
Apply Thin Layers
Use the applicator supplied with the product or a suitable fine brush. Apply small amounts and allow each layer to dry according to the product instructions rather than trying to fill the entire defect at once.
Know When to Use Clear Coat
