A good automotive paint job is built on preparation, compatibility and controlled application. Whether you are repairing a small panel or preparing for a larger respray, the same fundamentals apply.
1. Identify the Colour Correctly
Whenever possible, start with the vehicle paint code and select a paint product designed for that colour and finish. A close visual match is not always enough, especially on metallic and pearl colours.
2. Spend Time on Preparation

3. Match the Product to the Repair

4. Apply Thin, Controlled Coats
Keep application consistent and avoid flooding the panel. Allow the correct flash-off time between coats and follow the technical data for the product.
5. Finish Correctly

6. Safety Comes First
Automotive coatings can contain hazardous solvents and, in some systems, isocyanates. Use the product's safety data sheet, correct respiratory protection and ventilation, and follow all manufacturer instructions.
